Maternity Leave and Mandatory Retirement Changes Feature in Autumn Legislation Programme

The Government has published its Legislation Programme for the Autumn 2024 session.

The following employment-related Bills are listed for priority publication:

  • Maternity Protection (Amendment) (Miscellaneous Provisions) Bill
  • Employment (Restriction of Certain Mandatory Retirement Ages) Bill

In addition, the Protection of Employees (Employers’ Insolvency) (Amendment) Bill has been listed for priority drafting.
