RTÉ has reported that the national minimum wage may rise by 5% or around €0.65 per hour in Budget 2026. The proposed increase would bring the National Minimum Wage to €14.15 per hour.

While the Government may or may not approve recommendations from the Low Pay Commission, their recommendations have historically been accepted.
